DGA has been using Java since it first became available. We have used it on all maner of platforms (from embedded systems to Mainframes), for many purposes.
Long before Java became available we were using Object Oriented programming, initially in C++, and our popular DGateway line of Email gateways were written in C++.
We started with VisualAge for Java from IBM, running on OS/2, and then moved first to VisualAge for Java under Linux, and then on to Eclipse as our development platform.
Much of the code we have written has been server code, with browsers or other clients used to access the system, but we are also involved in Java Client/Server development.
We are using Java ourselves for the development of Open Source projects (watch this space).
